Christian Laettner is going to be the biggest bust. 2 NCAA titles, player of the year, and numerous other awards. Others would be . . .
Miles Simon from AZ (Bibby’s partner in college who got all the press)
God Shammgod from Providence, I just really remember him because of his name, but I think he had some awards too.
Big Country Reeves, Ron Mercer, Felipe Lopez, Calbert Chaney. Could go on and on but its going to be a longer list of failures than people that are currently playing in the NBA.
Jimmy King & Ray Jackson of the Fab Five.
Miles Simon jumps out at me, Tyus Edney is another. Trajon (sic) Langdon.
Bo Kimble, Ed O’ Bannon, anyone from Duke.
jj reddick, sheldon williams, sean may, dee brown, pops mensah bonsu
Chris Carawell who played for Duke. He was drafted but didn’t make the team. He is playing overseas. Loren Woods. He played in Arizona and somewhere else. He is over 7 foot and has been on a couple of NBA teams but with no real playing time. I think he is overseas now too. These guys both played for the same high school in St. Louis. Cardinal Ritter Prep. Another team mate of theirs was Jahaidi White out of Georgetown. His NBA career was better but not great.
I’m will mark this year’s rookies off the list for now. It’s yet one season.
Brian Cardinal – He was amazing in college. People said he could be the next Bird. I said yeah right. I guess I was right!
JJ Redick – Maybe it’s that Orlando just don’t need him with Hedo playing so well. But at least come off the bench and hit a couple of 3′s!
Rodney Carney – I remember people chanting “Jordan” for this kid in the NCAA. Yes, people actually chanted “Jordan.”
Christian Laettner – Dream Team member… ROFL! But at least he’s still better than half of the FIBA 2007 squad…
Ed O’ Bannon…
