I mean i think so but at then same time there is way more NCAA teams then there are NFL teams but then you got to look at it some teams end the season with a great record and never get the chance to show why there are the best u decide?

I would HATE a playoff system. That would destroy what College Football is all about. It would also cause people to neglect the season, and focus ONLY on a ridiculous playoff (like NCAAB)
Ya i agre that we should have playoffs or at least a tourney, because on college basketball they do. I think that there should be a playoff or tourney because there are teams out there that dont have an easy conference but are still a good team, and i think that it would be far, but most importantly the teams that get into the national championship wouldnt be determined by a computer or voters but by the way they play and win the game. Also as a result of this it will truly determine the real, true best football team in the NCAA
YES college football should have playoffs, and should allow mid-major schools to actually have a chance which a playoff system could do. If a team can’t have a shot at winning the championship, they should be in a different division. College football is already one of if not the most exciting sport to watch on television and in person. Add playoffs to the mix and college football could even surpass the popularity of the NFL. NCAA football should have a playoff system.
I believe they should use the current system to come to an eight game playoff system, this is still the NCAA and money is the name of the game. If a college has no chance at making it to that final eight they will never go for it, they need to incorporate the bowl games in as well. A playoff system does not come without a price, it may make it more difficult for teams within the same conference to be ranked within those final eight.

The other NCAA divisions, which aren’t Div #1 (BCS), have a play-off system already.
I don’t want to see the bowl system discarded, and I don’t like the idea of a play-off. It would make college football just like every other sport. Right now every week of the season is important. I’m into tradition.
We should maybe have BCS+1 for those rare occasions when you have two worthy undefeated teams after the bowl season.

I would, but you can never put together a controversy proof system.
Who makes it? There are 12 conferences and 16 slots.
When do you have it? It will take 4 weeks to do a 16 team playoff. Do you eliminate two games from the schedule and finish before finals or start after finals and run concurrently with the NFL playoffs and into a second semester. Either way you’re losing TV viewers and fans travelling to games.
Where does the money come from? Just about every school gets a share of nearly $200 million which comes from bowl profits thanks to a sizable TV contract and corporate sponsorships. Fewer games, lower ratings, less revenue.
It’s a great idea for small schools with 10,000 seat stadiums and lower revenues. It’s entirely another for schools with 50-100,000 seat stadiums with hundreds of millions in revenues on the line.

Missouri beat both KU and Illinois, yet both teams jumped OVER Missouri and into a BCS game while MU got thrown under the bus and into the worthless Cotton Bowl, proving they deserved a BCS game by blowing Arkansas off the field.

There is little doubt that there should be a playoff but until someone can come up with a way to incorporate the current bowl system with the playoffs there is no way it will happen. Too many people/corporations have too much money tied up in the bowl games and like it or not money rules.
I do. I am a big Alabama fan and right now they are #1. I think they should get a chance to play whoever is #2 at the end of the season.
I do. Any team can beat any team any day. There should be playoffs to give teams with decent records a chance at showing everyone what they’re made of.

I think that Ncaa football ahould have playoffs. why i think this ? It is because there are many other teams in ohter divisons that should be ranked just as much as a bigger school but they neverget credit or shown for what they do. Whith a playoff system they would be able to really find the best team out there and it would make fans alot happier to watch football for a nother month just so they could have playoffs. I think this should become something and it would show that the NCAA association does care about the teams, players and there fans. this is what i think
