I’ve got the opportunity to play basketball for the USA in some international tournament in Holland this summer. (I plainly don’t have all the details yet)
I’m just wondering what the major differences in the rules and equipment are. I know the key is trapezoidal instead of rectangular, but I don’t know much else. Is the ball the same size in fiba as the nba? Where is the 3 point line in fiba? Are there violations or fouls in teh fiba rules that are not in the NBA? Vice versa? Thanks in advance
One Response for "What Are The Differences Between Nba And Fiba Rules?"
To answer your specific questions, the ball is the same size, the 3 point line is 6.25 meters away (20 ft. 6 inches). For other rule changes, this page seems to cover everything:http://members.shaw.ca/jazzace/ace/hoop/…
For more analysis, I thought this Charley Rosen column from last summer was fantastic:http://msn.foxsports.com/nba/story/71333…
Good luck this summer!
