Well, the best things recommended that I would say I would do from this (I pretty much did this one summer with my brother, we played so much basketball, but I did improve) is work on your basketball shooting and fundamentals. Doing so will improve a lot and it will help you in the long run. Sorry, this might be long but it might help you. First thing that you should always do if you want to get ready for next season, is do a lot of fitness training, not necessarily a lot but so that it will keep you in shape. You guys could jog early in the morning so that you can stay in shape. Second thing that you could do, is always play 1v1 up to 11 by 1′s. This really does help me, I was always bad on defense until I practiced this playing 1v1 against other people, then I became better and now I can easily play defense. Even better yet, call up some friends of both of yours and get a 5v5 game going at a park or wherever, you won’t ever regret that, it’s fun and it kills time nonetheless. Third thing that I could recommend, is for you to practice your dribbling, passing, footwork, jumping, blocking, stealing, and what not against each other. Try different methods of getting the ball to each other, and you can easily practice with each other. Forth thing that I could recommend, is taking 500-1000 shots a day. I know this sounds crazy, but my basketball coach recommended it to us, and I did it a few times and I could see my shot getting better. Just take turns shooting or doing something, and you shooting will improve drastically. Always having somebody rebound or just somebody to play with is better then playing alone and summer is the perfect time to do that. Fifth thing that I could recommend, and the last is to… Just have fun playing over the summer. Summer break is always a fun time to relax and just do whatever you want. So don’t get to caught up in basketball, but you can always work out a schedule that can work out for both of you. Having fun always help an attitude on court and off. Overall, just work on staying in shape, do some fitness training so that you can do that. Work on playing games 1v1 or 3v3 or 5v5 with people so that you can get better in an in-game situation. Work on the fundamentals of basketball, and your game will get better soon. Work on shooting and work on having fun, then your game will be perfect for next season. Remember have fun, and good luck!
wow, thats cool. maybe jog every morning because its summer! you will have alot of time, you could go to parks and play against each other or challenge for a 2v2 and better yet join a 5v5 match. just keep playing, youll eventually become better, and yes, bcoz its summer you could also work on your athleticism by doing drills
Practice dribbling and layups!,do some left handed layups and then some right handed ones, same with dribbling.Pass the ball back and forth a lot to get a comfortable feel for the ball, then practice jump shots, and free throws.Oh,and play some games of HORSE if you know about this………………..good luck
