Oh my god, an Ohio State fan has the nerve to come on the internet and say that OSU is faster than LSU… and by the way, You never answered the question… The Big Ten is by far the most over-rated conference.. For 2 years in a row OSU cleaned the floor with their conference opponents, only to get smashed in the National Championship Game by SEC teams with one and two losses respectively. The most under-rated conference might be the Pac 10, although I dont think they are that good. Just under-rated…
Under: PAC-10 . They accomplished a lot this year and they were a tough conference. Over: Big 10. Rose Bowl is all I have to say. SEC is the best and the fastest.
To address the fact that the SEC doesn’t play out of the south………..this is partly true. But we have to play 8 teams in the conf. So to say we don’t play each other is not true. The 4 that aren’t played in any given year are rotated so that all are played within 8 years. Plus teams like UF play FSU every year, Miami is back on the schedule. UT plays Cal, Nebraska or UCLA, UGa plays a good ooc opponent. etc. I agree the PAC 10 is underrated and USC may be the cream of the crop, but top to bottom SEC is hard to beat.
For all you SEC haters. 7-2 in bowls this year. To the person who says the PAC is a better conference because no SEC team can beat USC, your talking about one team not the conference as a whole. To the person who said Ohio State had a rebuilding and still had a great year, that confirms the BIG 10 being over-rated. A rebuilding team can walk through that conference.
SEC is bar far the most over rated conference in the nation. Yes, they do usually have a couple teams that are tops in the nation. But so does every other conference, it’s just they have 12 teams with 2 divisions and the best teams rarely even play each other. They talk crap about Ohio State and how they had a weak schedule, PLEASE, go take a look at any “decent” team in the SEC schedule. It was Ohio States “rebuilding” year, and they still put together an amazing season. Most uderrated is tough. I would say PAC-10, but people are seeing that they are closing in on the being the “toughest” conference. People are definately seeing it isn’t as top heavy as it was before.
i think lsu is overated with there speed because before the buckeyes played them all we heard was there goin to murder you guys with speed and when i watched them play ohio state was faster then them to tell the truth. sec is over-rated

I think everyone is viewed appropriately. The Big10 is probably the third or fourth best conference and I think that is where most knowledgeable people would rank them.
Obvious… Big Ten is the most overrated. Look at how OSU has done the last 2 years. Blown out by SEC. Michigan blown out last year in the rose bowl. and this year illinois blown out. Gotta mention Michigan losing to 1AA Appalachian state. Underrated is Pac-10. This year was rough. Having Oregon lose Dennis Dixon. Cal lost Quarterback. But listen to this. the Pac-10 went undefeated against SEC teams in the regular season. And the so called best Conference (SEC) fears scheduling good out of conference teams. By playin Horrible teams out of conference they only lose to others in their conference and say “we beat ourselves up because we are so good.” this is just insane. But I’ll end this Pac 10- Underrated Big 10- WAY overrated. Thank You

Big10 is way overrated and the pac-10 is underated i do believe that the sec is the best conference but i think that nobody has as much talent a USC who i believe is the best team in college football
big 10 and sec are overrated I mean Tennessee (an sec championship contender) lost to California. Oregon (with Dixon) and USC could have beaten any SEC team. It took alot to get LSU into the NC game, WV and Mizzou had to choke first. The SEC and Pac 10 are DEAD EVEN, none better than the other. Unless an SEC teams BEATS USC (trojans), the SEC does not deserve the title of best conference, and I mean beat them as in not a 20 yr old story, in the last 5 years no SEC team has beaten the trojans, unless an SEC team can do that, the pac 10 and sec are DEAD EVEN.
