Many people think he’s too skinny and undersized to be anything more than a three-point specialist role-player or an up-tempo swingman off the bench, but do any of you guys think he could be a star in the NBA? Or will this be as good as it gets for him right now?

Third string point guard for a lottery team
He needs to pack on some weight but I think he will be solid in the NBA
He’ll probably be a backup guard that brings instant offense, in the mold of Eddie House on the Celtics.
I think he’ll be a great NBA player. But don’t forget this: He’s only a SOPHMORE. Give Curry time because he won’t enter the NBA Draft this year. He wants to stay another year in college to work on his point guard skills. Curry does need to get bigger and stronger in order to do well in the NBA. His physical gifts isn’t the whole reason why I think he’ll be great; it’s because of his attitude. Curry has continued to improve each year and he will gives it 110% on the court and in the gym. LeBron James said that he thinks Curry would fit in the NBA and also said Curry will be a great player. Give Curry some time and he’ll be an NBA superstar.
hopefully better than his dad
he still has much more time to develop into a great player. if people work with him, i think he has potential to be an all-star in the NBA. not quite a superstar but surely a big time role player who could help his team a lot. Maybe showing signs of similarities to Rip Hamilton?…idk maybe…but he will get better
not as good as has been in college thats for sure.
If he has a stellar career in the NBA I would compare his style of game and even his body type to Reggie Miller. Pure shooters who like to run around and play off of a lot of screens. That was both of their games.
I dont really think hes Monta Ellis. Yes size (and even like looks wise) he may be like Monta and they play the same position but they have COMPLETELY different styles. I thikn Monta is quicker than Curry and is a better finisher. he LIVES int eh paint. I view Curry as a jumper shooter.
I would compare him to being a Raja Bell in the NBA.
Stephen Curry is good at CBB, but on NBA, the world’s best basketball players, nothing compared to Kobe, nash and other players !
If anyone knows who Dell Curry is, then you would guess what Stephen would end up like…a really good shooter, way better scorer and passer then Dell. At best he will be a Luther Head type player, so i believe he would be a valuable 6th man. Like father like son….i hope he comes to the Raps.
Stephen Curry is lighting it up against the best college teams in the NCAA tournament and if he can lead a team as low ranked as Davidson, he’ll be rookie of the year in the NBA when he gets in.
I wouldn’t let “skinny” be the judge… have you seen Monta Ellis for Golden State? I think if Curry continues to work hard and whatnot, he’ll be like Monta Ellis… that’s a compliment because that kid’s amazing.
But we’ve seen it before, college stars coming in and not delivering… Joseph Forte, Jason Williams, J.J. Reddick… it’s hard to say with some guards… it does depend on where he goes… he’d excell with a golden state or phoneix type team…
he would be GREAT!!!!!!!!!!
he’s quick, athletic, has a fast release, good court vision, and a smooth shot.
here is the reason he wont be a good nba player
he is listed at 6-2, but he is a shooting guard…he doesnt have to athleticism of undersized shooting guards like barbosa and ellis to make up for his lack of size…i dont think he is athletic enough to get open to get good looks…also, playing as the shooting guard, he wont be able to defend bigger, more athletic shooting guards, which will be a huge problem
his best chance to be a good pro would be to play with a big point guard who can defend shooting guards so he can defend point guards..somebody like deron williams, derrick rose, a younger version of jason kidd
