He should be gone for the season. I’m not an optometry student, but I’m pretty sure jamming your hands into someone’s eyes isn’t an appropriate medical procedure for any ailment.
I have respect for the Florida Football program as a whole, but this suspension is an absolute joke. It’s nowhere nears bad as Blount’s punching someone (who was blindsided) and running off, pushing your own teammates and shouting obscenities at fans in the stands, but it’s pretty high up there. His actions have no place in sport and he should have been dealt with accordingly. Besides, suspending him for a HALF…against Vandy? That’s just a disgrace. Urban Meyer should be ashamed of such a half-hearted punishment.
I disagree and believe what Blount did was worse but I also agree that Spikes should be suspended for at least 3 games, that was a dumb act and to only suspend him for a half is retarded
